GUESS WHAT? i don't know what to blog about, so i'm just going to blog about my "blogging block" i haven't blogged in about a week and a half, so i decided i had a blogging block. i will be blogging about interesting things again (hopefully) in a couple days.

all natural beauty tricks!

these tricks will eliminate all of the artificial ingredients from your skin care product routine so your natural skin will show through. i don't use this as my skin care routine, but you can if you want organic, natural, and effective results every day, go ahead and use this routine!

SCRUBS:
#1: walnut scrub
walnuts are super-rich with natural oils that can do magic with your complexion.
create a fine mixture of:
half cup of olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey
one-fourth cup of shelled walnuts
tip: you can definitely use a food processor to get the best texture possible to create a soothing scrub.
massage the scrub into delicate spots like the feet, face, and hands to eliminate dead skin cells and other residues. rinse of with warm water.
#2: oatmeal scrub
use this amazing natural ingredient to remove dead skin cells from the pores and the surface of your skin. oatmeal also has a cleansing and anti-inflammatory quality, leaving your complexion free from pimples and other skin problems. place a tiny amount of oat  into a clean cloth and secure it with a pin or rubber band. dip the cloth into warm water and squeeze the extra liquid. then, wash the face or body with this water and wait a few minutes until your skin is completely dry. the result is a revitalized and shiny complexion.
MASK:
#1: sour cream moisturizing mask
use sour cream to restore skin's moisture and avoid the appearance of wrinkles and other skin problems. cleanse your face and apply 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream on your pores. make sure you skip the sensitive spots as the area around the eyes and lips. leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes, then use a damp cloth to wipe off the mask. finally, rinse off your skin with warm water. the lactic acid brightens up your skin instantly!

OILS:
#1: hands: almond oil
use this natural oil to keep your hands and nails in the best shape possible. rub a tiny amount of almond oil into your skin and cuticles, then wrap your hand in towels. leave it on for 5-10 minutes to make sure the oil got into even the deepest layers of your hands and cuticles. finally use a cloth to wipe off the excess oil. it's optional to wash your hands. almond oil is rich in vitamin e and anti-oxidants that can keep you away from dry skin and wrinkles that appear as the result of bad weather.

drugstore pricing.

okay, so we all know that drugstores like CVS and walgreens are much more expensive in the beauty department than walmart and target. so, what's the point of shopping for drugstore makeup at actual drugstores, while you can save money at target? maybe its more convenient, and the selection is better. but if you think about the money you're saving, you could go out and buy another drugstore product for that money. i know i sound like the cheapest person on the face of the earth right now, but its true. hopefully you take this advice and go to target or something like that for your drugstore makeup and other drugstore products and save money! thanks for visiting the blog, and i hope you enjoyed<3

hey guys. sorry this is going to be hard to explain but, ill try to explain to guys whats my daily makeup and how i do it. okay first i use lotion. you can use any one you like, but i use vanilla bean noel from the bath&body works winter collection. i really love this lotion it makes my skin fresh and really soft and it smells really good.(: next i use foundation. i use a pressed powder one from jafra in light medium(number 244). with this i use my i.d bare escentuals flawless face brush.i apply my foundation all over my face and neck too. next i prime my eyes with the almay eye-primer in number 1. next i apply a skin color all over my eye lid, under my eye, the inter/outer corners of my eye and browbone. for this i use the browbone color the maybelline expert wear eyeshadow trio in chocolate mousse.then after i use the lid color, which is a light brown for my lid and then i use the crease color which is a darker brown but its not to dark, which is why i like it. if you like the natural look i would get this because it perfect for that.next i use two different mascaras the first is from beauticontrol, its the spectaculash thickening mascara in black. i rally like this mascaa because it makes my lash look long and it looks really natural. the next mascara i use over the beauticontrol mascara is the maybelline lashstiletto in soft black. i only wear the lashstiletto if im going out. next i line my waterline with a eyeliner. for this i use jetblack pencil liner from claires(: and line my top line and lashes. now for blush i use beauticontrol unbelievable blush in wine. lastly i use just a chapstick. i use berts bees and my covergirl natureluxe lip stick in  grenache(number 235). and thats it i hope you guys enjoyed.(:

CALI:) day one&two.

hiya. its carina. i'm currently in santa monica at my grandparents' house:) i love them to death. so, today i'm going to tell you about my.. FIRST TWO DAYS! woohoo:) okie dokie.
day one:
LAX airport at 4pm.
grandparents house.
el pollo loco.
friends house.
day two: (much more interesting, i swear)
bike-riding on a chopper on the trail right next to the beach. (chopper is a three-wheeler. in other words, a tricycle for adults, cause i'm a wimp who is too afraid to learn how to ride a two-wheeler.)

el torito mexican restaurant! (and thanks to kate's mom, i tried a FLAN for the first time. and yes, they are delicious.)
shopping at the third street promenade:) where i met iJustine (youtube) and her sister (itsmejennae)! they are so sweeet<3 HAUL?:)

leaving!

hey guys, i don't think you know this, but carina is leaving me! she's going to cali! stupid. but that means more of me.:) jk i'm sure you guys will miss her as much as i like. i'm not sure why i'm making this post and not her. but i beat her to it. she leaves tomorrow and coming back the 20th i think. so thats like two weeks and a day.:( just wanted to let you know. and i'm also taking over her youtube channel. so don't worry ill be there making videos for her. and carina will probably talk more about her trip, so i'm gonna go now bye!

telling people.

so today, me and kate decided to tell people about our channels through facebook. we were really scared, thinking we were going to be made fun of, and thinking we were going to be losers. but we made a pact to stick together and stay strong! and hopefully people won't hate on us for doing what we like to do.

my favorite healthy & unhealthy snacks.

hey guys! this is going to be a post on my favorite healthy AND unhealthy snacks. and yes, there will probably be more unhealthy choices than healthy ones, but you get the idea. kinda.. i hope so.. let's get started!
HEALTHY:

  • celery and ranch.
  • celery and organic peanut butter.
  • carrots and ranch.
  • apples and organic peanut butter.
  • salted cashews. (a handful is good for you, a gallon isn't, and get the ones salted with sea salt.)
  • water! it fills you up!
  • frozen yogurt with berries.
  • ranch-flavored wheat thins. (sorry, i can't take the regular flavor, but if you can, it's a teensy-weensy bit healthier, but not by much)
  • sunchips in garden salsa, harvest cheddar, french onion OR original. they are all good.
UNHEALTHY:

  • ice cream. 
  • vanilla pudding.
  • cheese-its
  • vitamin water. its not completely unhealthy, but it's not really healthy either, you know?
  • brownies.
  • cupcakes.
  • cake.

late night dinner.

hey guys. tonight i ate "dinner" at 8:45pm. and if you know me really well personally, i swear by not eating after 6pm. bad girl, carina. my dinner consisted of:
a classic caesar salad (leftover from today's lunch): portillo's &
a vitamin water in the flavor spark (grape-blueberry): jewel.
YUMMO. -wise words of rachel ray.
okie dokie, guys. talk to you later. i'm watching the re-run of pretty little liars' newest episode right now, so i gotta go.

my dream camcorder!

okay, so today i went to best buy because my mom needed a new gps (which she got) and i was just walking around for about half an hour, when i saw they're camera section! now that i do videos on youtube, i really want higher-quality videos for you guys, so i went and looked at all of the camcorders. i instantly fell in LOVE with the samsung H300 HD flash memory camcorder! it's so attractive (and yes, i'm describing a CAMCORDER as attractive) and compact! i tried it out at the store and the zoom is amazing, and the focus setting works amazingly! i even took out a lotion from my bag to see if it would focus, and it did! it's a little pricey at almost $300, but if my views and subbies pick up, i will be getting it on black friday/ christmas, my birthday:)

struggling with weight?

Hey everyone, this is kate. and today i'm going to talk to you guys about weight. its a big topic. and some people just try to ignore it. well first, you have to relize that you can't ignore. second, that there is a solution to this problem. now personally i've dealt with this problem. and one thing that really helped was being active. it works! second, my mom got my dad a wii for his birthday two years ago and my mom also bought wii-fit. and i probably sound crazy now, but that little program helped me SO much. even if you do i little bit everyday, later you will se improvements.and third, EAT HEALTHY. i've cut back on my junk food and sweets. everyone has weakness in unhealthy food and mine is just sweets and rice pudding. i love rice pudding, thats my weakness. so if you can admit your weakness and say that you want to change your life style, then you're already on a great start:) and one more quick thing that works, get your family involved ** and go out on daily walks or bike-rides. DO SOMETHING.


i know this isnt really beauty, but to me this is beauty. being healthy and just feeling good about yourself and being PROUD OF YOURSELF is what I call beauty.

the "white smile diet"?

hey! today, i'll be blogging about the "white smile diet" that is supposed to make your pearly whites brighter and whiter! here are some things you DO:
1. eating crunchy fruits and veggies like apples, carrots, and celery, because they work as abrasives on your teeth. i would skip this if you have braces, like me and kate!
2. rub your teeth with a strawberry or orange peel! they polish your teeth.
3. eat or drink dairy like milk, yogurt, and cheese because they contain lactic acid which helps to prevent decay. again, i would also skip this if you are lactose-intolerant. (by the way, me and kate both aren't lactose-intolerant)

try to stay away from: coffee, tea, tobacco (eew.), red wine, blueberries, soda, and soy sauce, because they stain your teeth.

and, of course, brush your teeth and use mouthwash!

follow this and you'll gradually notice brighter, whiter teeth!
